Neighbouring towns and villages such as Egbema, Ejemekwuru, Izombe, Awa, Obosima, Ogbaku, Okwu, Awo-omamma, Oguta, Owerri comes to Ogbafor to buy fresh agricultural products such as Yam, Gari, Maize, Mellon, Ugu vegetable, etc.
Other daily consumables are also sold and bought at same market.
The AHIA OGBAFOR (Ogbafor Market) runs every four (4) days, on AFOR day.
Afor is the fourth and last day of the Igbo traditional calendar which starts on NKWO (1st day), EKE (2nd day), ORIE (3rd day) and AFOR (4th day).
