The market is attended to by all the villages in Agwa and is seen as the major market. Neighbouring towns and villages such as Egbema, Ejemekwuru, Izombe, Awa, Obosima, Ogbaku, Okwu, Awo-omamma, Oguta, Owerri comes to Ogbafor to buy fresh agricultural products such as Yam, Gari, Maize, Mellon, Ugu vegetable, etc.

Other daily consumables are also sold and bought at same market.

The AHIA OGBAFOR (Ogbafor Market) runs every four (4) days, on AFOR day.

Afor is the fourth and last day of the Igbo traditional calendar which starts on NKWO (1st day), EKE (2nd day), ORIE (3rd day) and AFOR (4th day).

By the grace of God, I was the immediate past chairman of (TROPCON) Traditional Rulers of Oil Producing Communities of Nigeria and currently, I am the Chairman of Oguta Local Government Area council of Traditional Rulers.

Mgbala Agwa is a town located in the South East of Nigeria and has a population of over 100,000. It is under the jurisdiction of His Royal Highness Eze Blaize Uba in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. Subsistence agriculture is the main source of subsistence within the community. The town lacks social amenities including, paved roads, electricity, and hospitals etc.
